My purpose is to continue teaching the traditional art of Ninpo Taijutsu and all it has to offer students from all walks of life, so they may pass the traditions they have learned on to their children, students, and generations to come.

The experience of learning Ninpo has changed my life by opening my eyes to the spirit of Budo.  Kogen Ninpo Dojo was founded on the 18th of March, 2004, however my experience in martial arts started in 1981.  In 1989, I started teaching the art of Ninpo Taijutsu under the Genbukan organization.  My School name at that time was Washington Kogen Dojo.

The emblem at the top of the page is what I have chosen for school and students to wear on their Do-gi's (Karate style uniforms).  The twelve point Karma Vajra has deep esoteric meaning and provides protection for the students from evil spirits.  Students will also receive a membership book (Dojo Passport) which will keep an official record of their accomplishments and annual fee's.

All Kogen Ninpo Dojo Instructors / Schools will recognize all rank promotions at other Kogen Ninpo Schools as long as local training fees are current.  This allows students to continue their training without losing any rank if they were to relocate to a new area branch school.
" I will not teach different katas or techniques at other branch schools, this behavior is not tolerated by myself or any of my Instructors."

Continuity and Tradition must always stay true to the art.  I want the basic patterns to remain true to the traditional path I have walked which include; Honesty. Honor, Effort, Fidelity, Interest in everything, and Compassion.  One of my instructors, Shoto Tanemura Sensei, has stated that his motto is:" My gates are open to all who wish to enter, and they remain open to all who wish to leave."  I share this feeling with my students, for life's path has many bumpy trails.  We have NO CONTRACTS, training is month to month.

During this lifetime I have been blessed by many Instructors, but one in particular has given me the rare fortune to have been his student and friend; Chadwick Minge Sensei.  he gave time and patience to show me what the meaning of true Ninpo Bugei offers the student in all aspects of life.  In closing I would like to show my Love and Gratitude to my Wife Elizabeth, Thank you.
